In 2018-2019, LAMC, the InterCity Fund, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency organized community climate resilience workshops to develop a shared understanding of community resilience goals and objectives, articulate resilience challenges and solutions, and identify actionable next steps and resources for the community to improve its resilience. More recently this work has been used in the 2021-2022 EJSTRONG training, where South Carolina environmental justice leaders gather to workshop the best methods for increasing community resilience. This training is the result of a collaboration between, LAMC, SCDHEC, UofSC, Clemson, and College of Charleston. More information on the EJSTRONG initiative here.
